Working closely with the Service Centre leadership team, this role is responsible for driving quality performance, continuous improvement initiatives, and operational excellence across the business unit.
The successful candidate will lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality systems and procedures while promoting a strong quality-focused culture throughout the organisation.
- Lead the implementation and ongoing management of regional quality systems, customer requirements, and third-party audit standards.
- Manage non-conformance processes, including reporting, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
- Analyse quality trends and performance data to reduce the cost of poor quality and improve customer satisfaction.
- Work collaboratively with procurement and operational teams to improve supplier quality performance and KPI achievement.
- Support project and contract handover activities to ensure customer quality requirements and risks are clearly identified.
- Chair regular quality and continuous improvement meetings, focusing on root cause analysis and performance improvement.
- Provide quality support during sales, tendering, and pre-qualification processes.
- Ensure compliance with project quality documentation and management systems.
- Support management review processes and continuous development of quality systems.
Qualifications:
- HNC qualification (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or significant relevant industry experience.
- Experience managing quality management systems within engineering, manufacturing, industrial services, or related sectors.
- Knowledge of industry quality standards and repair or maintenance environments.
- Supplier quality and supplier development experience.
- Good working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Effective time management and prioritisation skills.
- Resource planning and prioritisation.
- Departmental time management.
- Training and development planning.
