Head of Engineering is required to fulfil the role as a senior manager and offer advice / assistance to any elements of the business as required.
- Ideally, the candidate will have a background in packaged equipment design or systems integration.
- Experience in mechanical, electrical and PLC based controls highly desirable.
- High pressure experience preferred but not essential. Some experience with industrial compressor packages would be advantageous.
Responsibilities:
- Management of UK Engineering Department including budgetary requirements.
- Development and implementation of Engineering Strategy.
- Development of Business Processes.
- Management and promotion of effective interface with other departments.
- Ensure Legislation and Statutory requirements for UK products are met.
- Authorise all designs of UK products.
- Ensure that the Engineering department is adequately resourced to fulfil obligations.
- Promote development of staff.
- Review and report upon Design Safety Issues.
Skills Required:
- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or similar discipline, or equivalent experience.
- It is essential that the job holder has good communication and organisational skills.
- Must be able to work un-supervised, under pressure and in challenging environments.
- Extensive Worldwide & UK travel may be necessary.
- Knowledge of capability of IT Software, MS Office, AutoCAD, Inventor, SAP, Sage & Adobe.
- A full UK Driving Licence.
