Participate in and organise site visits to gather technical information for upcoming bids.
Review mechanical and electrical supplier submissions to confirm scope accuracy, identify risks, assess programme impacts, and ensure commercial alignment.
Work closely with the bid team to shape pricing approaches, define risk allowances, and prepare clear qualifications and clarifications for all M&E elements.
M&E Project Delivery
- Carry out or assist with site inspections to inform delivery planning and installation.
- Prepare technical requirements for supplier quotations and evaluate returned proposals for compliance and suitability.
- Attend design workshops and coordinate with design partners or specialist subcontractors as needed.
- Provide ongoing technical guidance to project supervisors and managers throughout the delivery phase.
- Support the Project Manager in organising, managing, and completing all M&E subcontracted work.
- Monitor supplier progress, performance, and adherence to project schedule.
- Oversee the development of supplier design information to ensure it meets employer requirements, integrates with other disciplines, and minimises delivery risk—without taking on design liability.
- Coordinate and manage M&E Factory Acceptance Tests, including review of all associated documentation.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between designers and installers, even when they are separate subcontractors.
- Review RAMS, testing procedures, and documentation to ensure they are complete, appropriate, and aligned with agreed methodology.
- Lead and support site supervisors responsible for M&E activities.
- Manage the installation handover process, including commissioning support, testing oversight, and documentation close.
Technical & Team
- Provide technical direction and functional support to commissioning teams, design personnel, and CAD resources where required.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualification in Electrical Engineering or an electrical HND, supported by relevant industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of electrical infrastructure and multi-discipline M&E systems.
- High level of IT proficiency, particularly in Excel.
- Confident in managing suppliers and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Experience contributing to tendering or pre-construction activity.
- Ability to identify technical and commercial risks and communicate them clearly.
- Comfortable working under pressure and meeting demanding deadlines.
- Flexible and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
