We're recruiting a Pump Service Engineer for a well-established provider of pumps & rotating equipment. This is a site-based position working out of their Birmingham Service Centre and will be handling the maintenance of pumps and rotating equipment for customers across the water & wastewater, power & energy, and oil & gas sectors.
This position will also require occasional UK-wide site visits for inspections, fault‑finding, maintenance, installation, commissioning, and emergency breakdown support.

Responsibilities
- Dismantling, inspecting, repairing, and overhauling a wide range of centrifugal pumps, blowers, vacuum pumps, submersible pumps, self‑priming pumps, and other rotating equipment.
- Diagnosing faults and recommending effective repair or refurbishment solutions.
- Servicing associated mechanical equipment including valves, gearboxes, fans, and compressors.
- Conducting performance testing, alignment checks, and quality inspections to ensure equipment meets operational standards.
- Producing accurate service reports, inspection findings, and technical documentation.
- Supporting site activities including maintenance, installation, commissioning, and breakdown response.
- Working safely and professionally at customer locations across the UK when required.
Requirements
- Experience servicing, repairing, or overhauling pumps and rotating equipment.
- Strong mechanical engineering and fault‑finding skills.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Flexible approach with willingness to undertake site work and travel when required.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and customer service.
