Area Sales Engineer (Automation) – South West UK – £45k+
About the Company: The company is a leading provider of automation solutions, helping customers across a wide range of industries. The ideal candidate will have sold products in the engineering sector (drives, PLCs, sensors, machine vision, metrology, etc).
About the Role:
The Area Sales Engineer role involves developing relationships with new and existing customers such as OEM/machine builders across a varied range of industries – Food & Bev, FMCG, packaging, end‑of‑line machinery, pharmaceuticals, utilities, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a sales team, performing joint visits from time to time.
- Maintain a company CRM system with contact information, sales opportunity information and activity information.
- Display a technical understanding of the company’s products and services to new and existing customers.
- Organise sales visits, product demonstrations and reference visits.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in sales, engineering, or consulting. Strong written, verbal, and collaboration skills.
