Automation Engineer - (Programming & Commissioning)

Job Title: Automation Engineer – (Programming & Commissioning)\\n\\nLocation: Cambridge (40% office, 60% travel to customer sites)\\n\\nSalary: £55k + company van\\n\\nTHE ROLE\\n\\nThis is a programming and commissioning role. The main role will be focused on implementing software on our systems and all aspects of install/commissioning both in house and at customers sites. This role will likely include approximately 60% of time on customer sites.\\n\\nDUTIES\\n\\n * Carry out full system commissioning which can include software, mechanical and electrical competence\\n\\n * Carry out site installation, software integrations and commissioning\\n\\n * Deliver customer training\\n\\n * Offer technical support both remotely and on site for engineers and clients\\n\\nSKILLS DESIRED\\n\\n * Experience with programming PLC’s for automated machinery\\n\\n * Experience with creating electrical designs for machinery\\n\\n * Experience with commissioning machinery\\n\\n * Electrical training and qualification\\n\\n * KUKA robot programming training and experience\\n\\n * Experience with programming robots\\n\\nCANDIDATE PROFILE\\n\\n * Positive attitude, prepared for open thinking and change.\\n\\n * Able to work as part of a team\\n\\n * Good mechanical and electrical engineering aptitude\\n\\n * Experience of working with programs for automated machinery\\n\\n * Willing to travelling all over UK and stay away from home for on site work (expenses paid +£50 per night)\\n\\n * Clean driving licenses\\n\\n * Good general education to at least A Level standard, including Maths and Physics or similar subjects
