My client is recognised as one of the UK’s most successful, family owned, Electro-Mechanical service providers both in the repair and maintenance industry for Pumps, Motors, Alternators, Fans and Gearboxes and their associated controls.

We are seeking skilled Armature Winders to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the assembly of electro-mechanical equipment, ensuring high-quality production standards are met. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with various hand tools and materials in an engineering environment.

Duties

  • Dismantle and re-assemble rotating equipment
  • Collect data and rewind AC and DC machines
  • Fault find on AC and DC machinery
  • Wind armatures using appropriate techniques and materials to meet specifications
  • Assemble equipment accurately, ensuring adherence to quality standards
  • Handle materials efficiently, maintaining an organised workspace
  • Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during assembly
  • Operate hand tools safely and effectively in the execution of tasks
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues related to production processes
  • Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition
  • Comply with and ensure high levels of health and safety standards, particularly within the Winding department
  • Actively engaging in the Companies continuous improvement program within the Workshop in line with the business objectives

Qualifications / Experience / Skills

  • Previous and proven electro-mechanical knowledge with experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Time served or at least 5 years in industry
  • Full UK Driving Licence
