What You’ll Bring
- Previous experience in a field service engineering role
- Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
- Strong, accurate reporting skills
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety
- Time-served engineering or electrical qualification
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be the on‑site technical expert, responsible for maintaining, repairing, and supporting vacuum pumps, systems, and associated plant equipment. Your responsibilities include:
- Performing scheduled and emergency maintenance on vacuum pumps and systems
- Fault finding, strip‑downs, repairs, and breakdown cover across multiple manufacturers
- Surveying equipment and promoting service contracts / healthcare plans
- Preparing quotes for minor installations, upgrades, and system alterations
- Carrying out minor installation and commissioning work when required
- Maintaining accurate service reports, parts usage, and personal stock levels
- Providing technical advice and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
