We are currently recruiting for an experienced Pipefitter to join a mechanical installation project based in Shrewsbury. This is a site-based role working within a commercial/industrial environment, carrying out high-quality pipework installation and fitting duties.
Location: Shrewsbury
Rate: £18 - £23 per hour (depending on experience)

Role Overview: As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for installing, assembling, and maintaining pipework systems on-site. You will work as part of a mechanical team ensuring all installations are completed safely, accurately, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation of mechanical pipework systems on commercial and industrial sites
- Measuring, cutting, threading, and assembling pipe systems
- Reading and working from technical drawings and schematics
- Installing pipe supports, brackets, and associated fittings
- Carrying out alignment, positioning, and securing of pipework
- Assisting with pressure testing and system checks where required
- Ensuring compliance with all site health & safety regulations
- Working alongside other trades and site supervisors to meet project deadlines
Required Experience:
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter or Mechanical Pipe Installer
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong understanding of pipe systems and installation methods
- Experience using hand tools and pipe fitting equipment
- Good awareness of site health & safety procedures
