About the Role
We are looking for a driven Business Development Manager to join a growing security business operating within the manned guarding sector. This role is open to candidates from all backgrounds. Previous experience within security, facilities management, cleaning, property, construction, recruitment or wider B2B sales would be beneficial, but it is not essential. The main thing we are looking for is someone confident, commercially minded and able to open doors with new clients.
You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with clients, attending meetings, preparing proposals and helping grow the company’s client base across London and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities within security / manned guarding services
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, prospects and key decision makers
- Attend client meetings and site visits where required
- Prepare quotes, proposals and commercial documents
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth mobilisation of new contracts
- Manage your own pipeline and report on sales activity
- Identify opportunities across sectors such as commercial property, construction, retail, facilities management, residential, hospitality and corporate sites
- Represent the business professionally at all times
The Ideal Candidate
- Strong sales, business development or account management experience
- Confident speaking to clients and decision makers
- Able to generate leads and manage a sales pipeline
- Commercially aware with good negotiation skills
- Organised, self-motivated and target driven
- Comfortable attending meetings and building long-term relationships
- Security / manned guarding experience would be advantageous, but not essential
- Experience in B2B sales, facilities management, cleaning, recruitment, construction or property services would also be suitable

Working Location
