My client is embarking on a substantial renovation programme of works within a luxury hotel property and are looking to bring in an experienced Quantity Surveyor from a Main Contractor background. The renovation programme is around 3 years in duration and is in excess of US$100m+. Working within an existing construction team, you will be involved in self-delivery projects where individual projects could vary from US$1m to upwards of $30m.
To be considered, you will have/be:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying.
- A solid background within a UK or Caribbean Tier One/Tier Two main contracting environment.
- Experience of renovation/interior, and new build projects of values from US$10m+
- Fast-track project delivery experience (advantageous)
- Preconstruction/Estimating exposure (advantageous)
- Prior/current Caribbean and/or international experience is preferential (but not essential).
- Between 10-15 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Procurement of materials from both local and overseas suppliers.
- Updating senior managers on the procurement and commercial activities.
- Assisting with Estimating.
- Preparing Bill of Quantities.
- Setting Budgets & Preparing cash flows.
- Contract Administration.
- Prepare Interim payments & Approving payments for suppliers.
- Monitoring the construction cost during construction.
- Preparing Valuations, Measurements and Variations.
- Preparing Cost Value Reconciliation.
