Wyman-Gordon is a world leading manufacturer of Nickel, Titanium and Steel alloy forgings for the aerospace, defense and energy sectors. Part of the major American corporation, PCC, we are a global manufacturer of complex metal components and supply products worldwide to our prestigious blue-chip customers.

An opportunity has arisen for a Customer Account Manager (Aerospace) to join our Commercial team based in Livingston. The Account Manager is responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong customer relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 Aerospace OEMs. This important role will ensure open communication links are always maintained and act as the internal “Voice of the Customer” for all customer and commercial related issues.

A key part of the role involves:

  • Key account and contract management, in particular contractual compliance and business development.
  • Working with the senior team to expedite solutions and maximise commercial opportunities.
  • Communicating any supply issues to our customers and ensuring conformity to contract performance measures.
  • Reporting regular updates to the executive team.
  • Managing, quoting, and closing customer enquiries strictly in line with company policy.
  • Regular reporting of KPIs, tracking to budget and forecasts, and other commercial information as required.
  • Representing Wyman-Gordon at customer review meetings and coordinating resultant actions across the organisation.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years prior account management experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers at an executive level.
  • Demonstrated organisational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Advanced computer skills with experience in using the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly outstanding skills in Excel.
  • Confident and able to lead.
