The Role – General Machinist
Wykes Engineering is looking for a skilled General Machinist to join our expanding engineering team. We are looking for someone with a conscientious approach to their work and be willing to learn all aspects of our range of products.
Key experience/ responsibilities
- Operate and set up machines such as milling machines, CNC lathes, centre lathes, bandsaw, radial drill and manual milling machines
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to understand specifications
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards
- Maintain equipment by cleaning and performing regular maintenance
- Collaborate with engineers and production team to improve processes
- Ensuring that H&S are maintained throughout, following procedure and safe systems of work
