Wycliffe College are seeking a dedicated and caring Matron to join our Senior School community, working within our girls’ boarding house. As Matron, you will play a key role in ensuring the wellbeing, safety and happiness of our boarding pupils, providing high-quality pastoral and emotional support while creating a positive, nurturing and supportive environment. Responsibilities will include supervising and supporting pupils to ensure good lesson attendance, promoting and upholding the school’s expectations around behaviour, conduct and health, liaising with academic and pastoral colleagues, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to the development of pastoral care programmes and policies.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing excellent pastoral care, has good IT and communication skills, and has experience of caring for or working with children and young people.

Terms of Appointment
This is a permanent, part-time, part-year position, working during published term dates for senior boarders. There are two shift patterns to choose from: Monday-Wednesday, 8.00am-5.30pm, three days per week during term time; or Thursday-Friday, two days per week during term time, including 26 Saturdays, from 8.00am-5.30pm. Both shift patterns also require one week of deep cleaning at the end of each term holiday.

Salary: £13.13 per hour (excluding holiday pay)
