Wycliffe College is seeking to recruit a qualified Electrician and Maintenance Operative to join our Maintenance Team. Reporting to the Estates Bursar, the successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance across the College’s properties and facilities, including inspections, fault-finding, new installations, and repairs. They will also support the wider Maintenance Team with other general maintenance tasks such as building and facilities repairs, painting, and setting up facilities in preparation for events.

Applicants must be a qualified electrician with experience in general maintenance work, a good understanding of workplace Health & Safety requirements, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Terms of Appointment:

  • This is a permanent position, offered on a full-time, all-year-round basis.
  • Working hours are from Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 5.00pm with an hour unpaid for lunch each day.
  • Salary: £35k-£39k per annum, depending on skills and experience.
  • A shift allowance is available for opt-in security shifts.
