We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled manager to oversee the delivery of our Food and Beverage department at the Woodlands Event Centre. This key role covers corporate events, group bookings, outdoor events, and private dining. The Woodlands Event Centre forms part of the Wyboston Lakes resort and delivers corporate events ranging from small groups with buffet lunches, grab and go style exhibitions, to large 300+ gala dinners– no two days are the same! This is a 12 month fixed term position starting in early 2026 but earlier start dates can be discussed. This is a great opportunity for an individual to develop their skills and experience during this time with us. Depending on business requirements at the end of the fixed term contract, there could be the opportunity for a permanent role within the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Departmental Management: Working with all departments to deliver the client's expectation for the department.
  • Team Member Management: Focus on Recruitment, onboarding and development of all team members to ensure they reach their potential.
  • Financial Focus: Managing payroll and stock levels to achieve departmental KPIs and budgets.
  • Hospitality Delivery: Continue to develop an environment that focuses around the highest level of satisfaction for all guests.
  • Compliance and Safety: Complete all required training and follow guidelines to ensure all aspects of department are compliant including licensing, food safety management and health and safety regulations.

Key Skills

  • The ability to engage and motivate the team, working alongside all departments.
  • Excellent communication skills to all customers and team members.
  • Knowledge of overseeing a department, rotas, P&L’s and F&B systems.
  • The ability to delegate tasks and prioritise your own workload.
  • Flexibility to work on a rota basis across seven days a week.
  • Problem solving skills with the ability to think on your feet, respond quickly and problem solve effectively.
  • The ability to complete tasks efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Understanding the importance of creating a fun working culture.
