With the migration of legacy data onto GCP almost done, the challenge now is to define and deliver a path forward towards a GCP native environment, and the Data Platform Director will be responsible for this.
Key questions to answer include:
- How do we now use and optimize the platform we have?
- How do we integrate Data Ops tools?
- How do we integrate reporting tools?
Our client requires an expert who can lead and deliver on Technical Strategy. Someone who has the knowledge and expertise to challenge the current Data Stack if necessary and advise on improvements and why.
The individual will lead a team of 100 persons locally, with another approximately 1000 outsourced.
Outsourcing: The business currently has contracts with TCS, Cap Gemini, Accenture, and a few other smaller firms. The ideal candidate would have strong knowledge of outsourcing and would have experience of restructuring outsourcing contracts and processes in the past based on strategic best practice, and be able to bring this to bear at VMO2 and manage this piece.
