Position Type: Full-time, hourly position eligible for overtime.
Job Summary: The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for supporting, coordinating, and facilitating all electrical related work that HomeWorks Energy offers to our customers. This role also supervises Electrical Apprentices and involves electrical hookups of HVAC equipment, panel and service upgrades, as well as knob and tube remediation, bath fan installation, and emergency repairs.

- Team Supervision: Supervise the activities of Electrical Apprentices, ensuring optimal productivity and adherence to Mass Save and company best practice for safety and quality. Conduct regular evaluations, provide feedback to management, and ensure Electrical Apprentices receive proper training.
- Assessments: Perform knob & tube assessments resulting in sign-off or quote. IC rated light assessments resulting in sign-off or quote. Provide all MASS Save and HWE required documentation.
- Repair and Installation: Repairing damage by crews to light fixtures, wiring, fuses, or anything electrical related. Installing electric thermostats. Wiring heat pump, boiler, furnace electrical components and hard-wiring smoke detectors. Installing bath fans. Service and panel upgrades. Knob and tube remediation.
- Code Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes, as well as safety regulations and industry standards. Pulling and closing permits in all areas where required.
- Documentation and Record-keeping: Complete necessary paperwork, documentation, and reports related to electrical installations, inspections, and permits. Ensure that all required permits and licenses are obtained and kept up to date for each project.

Education & Experience: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Valid Journeyman Electrician License issued by the appropriate regulatory authority. Minimum 1 year of experience as a Journeyman Electrician. Must demonstrate basic fundamental knowledge of using a computer. Thorough understanding of electrical principles, practices, and techniques, as well as current electrical codes and regulations. Ability to troubleshoot and interact with customers and crews. Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects on time. Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Requires proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
Compensation: $35-$45 per hour.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This is a supervisory role that may include overseeing and managing a team or department.
Work Environment: Customer settings: This position is based in customer settings and will require work in and out of doors, including in attics, basements, small-confined spaces, and rooftops. Office Environment: This position may occasionally be required to perform job duties inside the typical office setting.
Physical Demands: This job requires travel in a personal or company-provided vehicle. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, bend, crawl, or kneel in confined spaces. The employee may be required to lift up to 60 pounds, and must be able to climb ladders, enter crawl spaces, and move up and down stairs safely.
