Description: Finance Payroll Specialist, Telford, £45000 + bonus + hybrid working

Hays is partnering with a leading business in Telford that is seeking a Finance Payroll Specialist to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, where your expertise will help shape the future of payroll operations.

Your new role
As a key part of the Payroll team, you\’ll work closely with the Payroll Manager, Finance and HR, taking ownership of payroll finance tasks across the UK and Ireland. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing reconciliations, pension reporting, control accounts, recharges, and year-end reporting.
  • Overseeing PSA settlement agreements and acting as the LTI Correspondent for UK & Ireland Share Schemes.
  • Collaborating with the Payroll Manager and Project Lead on payroll integration and acquisition projects.
  • Supporting compliance efforts and delivering training on legislative updates.
  • Playing a key role in audit readiness, system implementations, and continuous process improvement.
  • Acting as the go-to expert for finance-related payroll matters, ensuring clear documentation through SOPs and process flows.
