My client is a reputable Investment Management & Financial Planning firm based in North Leeds, providing comprehensive financial services to both individuals and businesses.
We are urgently seeking a Paraplanner / Trainee Paraplanner to join our team. The role involves supporting Financial Advisers by researching new products and preparing detailed, compliant suitability reports for clients.
Main Purpose of the Role:
- To deliver a highly technical service to advisers, ensuring a positive professional experience for clients.
- To support report writing, including suitability reports for reviews and new business, tailored to client needs.
- To assist the Paraplanning Manager with logging projects and maintaining report templates.
- Most reports will involve high net worth or complex client situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in producing fully compliant, accurate, and potentially complex reports, including analysis, detailed research, and product recommendations.
- Research asset allocation, analyze existing portfolios, and support valuations and quotations.
- Gather supporting documentation and ensure all advice aligns with ethical and compliance standards.
- Manage workload effectively and communicate progress to line managers.
- Engage in continuous professional development and maintain records of learning.
- Perform any other duties as reasonably required.
Candidate Requirements:
Ideally, candidates will hold a Diploma in Financial Planning / Level 4 qualification, with 1-3 years of experience in paraplanning, particularly report writing and research methodologies. We are also open to candidates with limited experience who are part-qualified and seeking to advance into a full paraplanning role. This position is suited for a career-focused paraplanner not intending to become an adviser in the immediate future.
