Our client is an Award Winning firm of Chartered Accountants and Chartered Tax Advisors, at the forefront of the profession. They take a proactive approach to accounting and taxation, providing value-added services to their clients. The firm aims to exceed traditional expectations through strong business and taxation advice and maintaining regular contact with clients to offer timely guidance.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an Audit Senior with accountancy practice experience.

Broad Purpose of Job

Carrying out audit and accounting assignments.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Undertake audit assignments from planning through to completion for review by the firm’s Audit Manager.
  2. Manage the process of preparing accounts and corporation tax computations, including working on consolidated accounts.
  3. Assist the Director and Audit Manager with quality control aspects of auditing and accounting.
  4. Oversee the work of audit juniors and assist with their training related to audit.
  5. Ensure all deadlines are met and manage workload to prioritise urgent tasks.
  6. Liaise directly with clients to gather necessary information for audits and address any queries.
  7. Support the accounts team in preparing statutory accounts, Corporation Tax returns, and personal tax returns as needed.
  8. Perform any other reasonable tasks as required from time to time.
