Assistant Accountant – Llantrisant – 6-month contract

Location: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days from home – flexible on which days) Salary: £33,000-£34,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform weekly/monthly bank reconciliations, supporting financial reporting.
  • Manage procurement card system, including reconciliations, coding, and user training.
  • Prepare cash flow updates and quarterly forecasts, supporting treasury management.
  • Complete monthly VAT returns, liaising with HMRC for timely transactions.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring financial integrity.
  • Assist with year-end closure and preparation of audit schedules.
  • Provide system administration support, troubleshooting financial processes as required.
  • Support ad hoc payments and payroll transactions, liaising with internal departments.
