A growing and dynamic property development company based in Edgbaston, Birmingham, currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis. The company is known for delivering high-quality residential projects with care and precision. As the business continues to grow, they\’re looking for a motivated Accounts Assistant to join their collaborative team and support the Finance Controller.

Your new role
You\’ll support the day-to-day running of the finance function and play a key role in maintaining accurate records and assisting the Financial Controller.

  • Manage and monitor the shared accounts inbox
  • Accurately process and post supplier invoices
  • Maintain purchase ledger records and perform supplier statement reconciliations
  • Assist with monthly payment runs and bank reconciliations
  • Support the Financial Controller with month-end preparation and ad hoc finance tasks
  • Help maintain digital and physical finance filing systems
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding invoice queries and payment status

What you\’ll need to succeed

  • You\’ll bring a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and a proactive attitude.
  • Previous experience in a similar finance/accounts role
  • Good understanding of Purchase Ledger processes
  • Competent with Microsoft Office and accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar)
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
