We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Development Co‑ordinator to support the delivery of Talawa’s fundraising strategy and 40th anniversary programme. This role plays a vital part within the Development team, providing administrative, coordination and research support across a range of fundraising activity. Working closely with the Head of Development, you will help maintain strong relationships with individual supporters, trusts, foundations and corporate partners, while ensuring accurate data management and effective reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and update fundraising data using CRM systems (Salesforce and Fundraise Up), ensuring accuracy and GDPR compliance.
- Act as a first point of contact for supporter enquiries via phone, email and website.
- Support stewardship of individual supporters, including acknowledgements and donor care.
- Coordinate supporter events, cultivation activity and annual appeals – this includes managing events RSVPs, guest lists, general event correspondences and enquiries.
- Assist with research into trusts, foundations and major donor prospects for briefings.
- Assist with tracking funding applications, outcomes and reporting deadlines.
- Contribute to funding applications through research, proofreading and data collation.
- Administer online donations and ensure donor crediting is accurate across platforms.
- Support reporting requirements to Arts Council England and other funders.
- Attend performances, events and relevant industry networking when required.

Terms
- Hours: 24 hours per week, worked over 3 days (Tuesday–Thursday).
- Location: Fairfield Halls, Croydon with hybrid working.
- Salary: £26,000 - 28,000 per annum pro rata.
- Contract type: Part-time, fixed term.
- Notice period: 4 weeks’ notice by either party until successful completion of probation; on completion 2 month notice by either party.
- Probation: Appointment is subject to satisfactory completion of a 3‑month probation.
