We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Pensions Technician to support trustees in managing scheme administration responsibilities.
About the role
- Acting as the primary liaison with the outsourced administration provider, ensuring high service standards and timely issue resolution.
- Managing complex pension queries and trustee workflows, including mailbox and correspondence.
- Supporting regulatory and governance tasks such as scheme returns, newsletters, meeting papers, and policy reviews.
- Providing technical expertise for trustee decisions, complaints handling, and ad-hoc projects to ensure compliance and enhance member experience.
About you
- Proven experience in pensions administration, particularly with Defined Benefit schemes.
- Strong technical knowledge of pensions legislation, scheme rules, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive approach and ability to take ownership.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel.
- Experience working with outsourced administrators, legal advisers, and actuaries is advantageous.
- Professional pensions qualifications (e.g., APMI) are desirable.
