Our client is seeking an experienced and hands‐on Workshop Team Leader to join their team based in Kent. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a key leadership role within a growing and dynamic business, supporting the day‐to‐day running of workshop operations. This role combines leadership with practical, technical involvement and is ideal for someone who enjoys managing a team while remaining hands‐on within a busy workshop environment.
Pay & Hours
- Job type: Full‐time, permanent
- Location: Kent
- Salary: £33,000 – £36,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
- Hours: 08:00 – 16:00 (flexible early start available)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate day‐to‐day workshop operations
- Ensure all orders are completed accurately and dispatched on time
- Oversee preparation, refurbishment, and testing of equipment
- Provide hands‐on technical support and troubleshooting
- Manage stock levels, tools, and workshop equipment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Allocate tasks and monitor workloads across the team
- Liaise with senior management to report progress and resolve issues
- Support training and onboarding of new team members
Skills, Experience, and Requirements
- Previous experience within a warehouse, workshop, or logistics environment
- Supervisory or team leader experience
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Technical understanding (mechanical, electrical, or engineering background preferred)
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and confidence managing a team
- Experience working with machinery, equipment, or similar products
- Forklift licence or relevant warehouse certifications desirable
- Experience working in a fast paced, growing business environment
