Job Description
Pensions Consultant £53539 - £65335 plus benefits including DB Civil Service Pension. Hybrid working, 3 days/week Canary Wharf London, or Edinburgh offices.
We’re delighted to be working in partnership with the Government Actuary’s Department (GAD) on an opportunity to join their Pensions Administration Consulting team. This specialist team advises a wide range of public service clients, supporting some of the UK’s largest pension schemes and driving more rigorous, systematic approaches to quality assurance. You’ll provide expert, solution-focused advice to clients on pensions administration, data quality, and scheme governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on benefit calculations, data quality, and regulatory changes
- Support key projects including dashboards readiness and scheme improvements
- Deliver high-quality client work to deadlines and budgets
- Lead projects/workstreams and manage stakeholder relationships
- Collaborate with administrators, clients, and internal teams
- Support business development and contribute to team growth
About You
- Strong DB pensions administration experience
- Good knowledge of pensions legislation (public sector desirable)
- PMI qualification (or working towards)
- Experience with pensions calculations and technical queries
- Strong communication and stakeholder skills
- Able to lead projects and support/develop junior colleagues
- Proactive, detail-focused, and client-oriented
