We are looking for experienced Industrial (Access) Field Service Engineers to join our service teams at the Farnham and Hemel Hempstead depots. The ideal candidate enjoys working independently, maintaining machinery at peak operating condition, and delivering excellent customer service. You should have strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate, diagnose and resolve customer reports of technical problems with equipment.
  • Serve a wide variety of machines both on and off site.
  • Work independently to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently.
  • Complete job cards accurately and within given timeframes.
  • Complete paperwork, timesheets, and parts requests promptly.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant procedures when repairing and inspecting equipment.
  • Ensure work/personal equipment complies with all safety standards.
  • Present a professional image at all times.
  • Take responsibility for the health and safety of self, colleagues, and customers in line with company policy.
  • Ensure all personal tools are safe and legal to use.

No lifting equipment (including straps, trolley jacks, etc.) is required to be supplied by the engineer; all equipment is provided by the company.

Skills, Experience and Training Requirements

  • Solid mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience in Forklift Truck Engineering.
  • Experience with materials handling equipment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service and commercial awareness skills.
  • Efficiency and ability to work without supervision.
  • Positive, “can do” attitude.
  • Team player.
