On behalf of our client, we are seeking experienced Industrial (Access) Field Service Engineers to join their service teams at the Farnham and Hemel Hempstead depots. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and reliable individual who enjoys working independently and maintaining machinery at peak operating condition. The role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem‑solving skills and a commitment to outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate, diagnose and resolve customer reports of technical problems with equipment
- Service a wide variety of machines both on and off site
- Work independently to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently
- Complete job cards accurately and within given timeframes
- Complete paperwork, timesheets and parts requests promptly
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers
- Ensure compliance with relevant procedures when repairing and inspecting equipment
- Ensure work/personal equipment complies with all safety standards
- Present a professional image at all times
- Take responsibility for health and safety of self, colleagues and customers in line with company policy
- Ensure all personal tools are safe and legal to use
Skills, Experience and Training Requirements
- Solid mechanical aptitude
- Experience in Forklift Truck Engineering
- Experience with materials handling equipment
- Excellent verbal, written and critical thinking skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong interpersonal, customer service and commercial awareness skills
- Efficiency and ability to work without supervision
