Job Description
Are you a reliable and experienced Chef looking for flexible temporary work?
Our client is seeking a Chef to support their kitchen team in Hastings, covering ad hoc shifts as required.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy kitchen, takes pride in preparing quality meals and can adapt to changing shift requirements.
Please note: A valid Enhanced Adult DBS is essential for this position

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and present meals to a high standard
- Follow menus, recipes and dietary requirements
- Ensure food is prepared and served safely and on time
- Maintain excellent kitchen hygiene and cleanliness
- Follow food safety procedures and health and safety regulations
- Monitor food stock and minimise waste
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff
- Ensure all food preparation areas and equipment are kept clean and organised
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience working as a Chef or within a professional kitchen
- Good food preparation and cooking skills
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible and reliable approach to ad hoc working
- A valid Enhanced Adult DBS is essential
