Are you an experienced CNC professional looking to take the next step into a leadership position? We are recruiting for a CNC Team Leader to join a growing manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong CNC machining experience who enjoys supporting and developing a small team while remaining hands-on within production. Working closely with the Shift Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring production targets, quality standards and health & safety requirements are consistently achieved. You'll also help drive continuous improvement initiatives and support the day-to-day running of the CNC work centre.

Location: Bexhill on Sea

Salary: £16.00 per hour

Job Type: 3 months with a possibility of going permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday – Rotating Shift Pattern

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support a small CNC production team to achieve quality and productivity targets
  • Operate, programme and maintain CNC machinery
  • Ensure production processes are followed correctly and efficiently
  • Carry out regular quality checks to ensure products meet specification
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the CNC department
  • Troubleshoot process and production issues as they arise
  • Maintain accurate documentation and production records
  • Monitor tooling and consumable stock levels and maintain accurate records
  • Communicate effectively with production teams and shift leadership
  • Promote a safe, organised, and efficient working environment

Skills, Experience & Training Requirements:

  • Previous experience operating CNC machinery is essential
  • Experience with CNC routers or profiling machinery would be highly advantageous
  • Previous team leadership or supervisory experience within manufacturing would be beneficial
  • Experience working with MRP, ERP or warehouse management systems
  • Strong understanding of quality control processes
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and lead by example
  • Experience working with composite materials would be advantageous
  • Counterbalance forklift licence would be beneficial but is not essential
