Job Description

Assurance Manager - Member Services

County Durham, North East | Remote working

We’re looking for a detail-driven Assurance Lead; you’ll play a key role in strengthening the internal control environment by designing and implementing a first-line controls assurance framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive control monitoring framework across pensions administration
  • Ensure manual processes and workarounds are effectively captured and monitored
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of the AAF 01/20 report
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit, Risk, and Compliance teams
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Act as a subject matter expert on internal controls

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in control assurance, ideally within pensions or financial services
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to challenge constructively and drive continuous improvement
  • Experience coaching or leading others
  • Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in risk, audit, or pensions administration
