An international law firm is hiring a Senior Global Payroll Specialist to join its HR team, reporting to and deputising for the Global Payroll Manager.
US payroll expertise is central to this role. You’ll act as subject matter expert on US payroll processing, managing multi-state complexities including tax withholding, unemployment insurance, and state-by-state compliance, alongside supporting UK and international payroll operations.
You’ll also:
- Manage outsourced payroll provider relationships and service levels
- Support global mobility payroll (shadow payrolls, tax equalisation, split payrolls)
- Maintain strong payroll controls, reconciliations and audit trails
- Drive process improvements and system implementations
You’ll need:
- Demonstrable US multi-state payroll experience — essential
- Significant payroll experience across multiple countries
- Knowledge of UK payroll legislation
- Strong Excel and payroll systems skills
Desirable: ADP experience, CIPP qualification, professional services background.
