The Role

As a Revenue Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the billing and revenue function within a busy finance department. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate invoicing, smooth cash flow, and effective resolution of client queries within a high-volume, deadline-driven setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing a high volume of invoices in line with established procedures
  • Converting work in progress into accurate and compliant invoices
  • Supporting the timely collection of outstanding payments
  • Managing and resolving client invoice queries, escalating where necessary
  • Recording and maintaining accurate data on unpaid invoices
  • Liaising with fee earners, partners, and finance colleagues
  • Supporting revenue controllers and contributing to team efficiency
  • Ensuring all billing and credit control processes are followed correctly

About You

  • Previous experience as a Revenue Assistant, Biller, or Credit Controller (ideally 1–2 years)
  • Background within professional services preferred
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with stakeholders
  • High level of numeracy and strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a high workload
  • Proactive, collaborative, and able to use initiative
  • Committed to delivering a high level of client service
