The role of Operations Manager:
- Manage the large scale production and operations function within a fast paced manufacturing environment
- Lead Health & Safety standards, driving safety culture and behavioural change
- Line manage production staff and maintain sound employee relations
- Liaise with technical and quality teams to ensure high standards of quality and accreditation are achieved
- Take ownership of all production output activities
- Ensure daily workflow achieves production schedules and dispatch deadlines
- Lead continuous improvement activities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance quality
- Develop operational employees to ensure they have the right skills to meet business targets
- Ensure shop floor data is completed accurately and on time
- Manage staff holidays, shift cover, and day-to-day operations
- Hold daily team meetings and oversee communication, training, safety, and absence management
- Deliver objectives set to support business growth
- Work with quality and technical teams to maintain standards and initiate corrective actions where needed
- Take responsibility for Environmental Agency, packaging waste, and CCA reporting
- Liaise with the sales team on new business opportunities and product development

- Currently successful in an operations management role within manufacturing
