SPECIALIST LEAD THEATRE PRACTITIONER WITH AN INTEREST IN UROLOGY
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 7 scrub practitioner or ODP to join our elective surgical team.
Our theatre teams have a proven track record of providing high-quality care to our patients and are looking for a Registered Scrub Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner with demonstrable experience in urology, who is committed to providing consistent gold standard care. Epsom Hospital has 5 main theatres and 2 day surgery theatres.
Our ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, pro-active team player who demonstrates excellent communication and leadership skills.
A flexible approach is essential as an on-call commitment and internal rotation is required for this post.
Main duties of the job
You will be leading the team, working closely with management and other healthcare professionals, as well as supervising, supporting and developing junior staff, encouraging the delivery of high-quality care and experiences to patients.
We\\\’re looking for an experienced Theatre Practitioner to be part of the senior team leading Registered Theatre Practitioners and Support Workers and you will also work closely with surgical teams to deliver high quality patient care. You should demonstrate the ability to work unsupervised, work well under pressure and be experienced in change management. You will be expected to work within the person specification of a band 7 healthcare professional.
