An enthusiastic and motivated individual will join our dedicated team of radiographers in a busy MRI environment. The post is based at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital and welcomes applications from part-time providers.
Main Duties
- Provide patient care within the MRI Department as a Senior Radiographer, working independently and reporting to the Superintendent Radiographer.
- Perform IV cannulation and administer pharmaceuticals according to imaging protocol.
- Participate in the Directorate Quality Assurance Programme, monitoring MRI QA and implementing changes.
- Act as a Practitioner for plain film referrals under IR(ME)R 2017 and oversee entitlements.
- Engage in Clinical Audit processes and departmental audits.
- Train and mentor Radiographers and student Radiographers in specialised roles.
- Communicate effectively with staff across the Health Board.
Qualifications and Experience
- BSc in Radiography or equivalent.
- HCPC Registration.
- IV trained.
- Continuous Professional Development history.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills with stakeholders.
- Previous staff training experience in specialty.
- Clinical audit participation evidence.
- Specialist knowledge of MRI service and patient pathways.
- Highly motivated, dedicated, flexible, keen to progress professionally.
- Welsh language speaking/listening skills at Level 3 or above (desirable).
