We seek a Registered Mental Health Nurse / Registered Learning Disability Nurse for the Enhanced Care Team. The role is full‑time, 37.5 hours per week, with the aim of providing high‑quality care to patients with mental health, learning disabilities, dementia and related conditions.

The enhanced care team focuses on patients requiring extra support and observations, delivering individualized therapeutic interventions to improve safety and recovery. Training in enhanced care, dementia, learning disabilities, delirium, conflict resolution, mental health and substance misuse will be provided.

Main duties of the job:
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of nursing care for patients with mental health and learning disability issues, ensuring safety, individualized care and adherence to the fundamentals of care.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, support and monitoring to improve patient recovery and reduce challenging behaviour.
Person specification:
  • Registered with the NMC in the UK or about to register
  • Experience with mental health and learning disability care
  • Experience managing challenging behaviour
  • Understanding of general mental health issues and relevant legislation (MHA/MCA)
  • Open to newly qualified nurses
