Contract: Permanent / Full time – 37.5 hours per week (08:30 to 16:30, Monday to Friday)

On‑call duties available to supplement monthly earnings

Job overview

The post holder will provide administrative duties within the UHD Residences team, including reservations, financial processes, maintenance functions, and general administrative support to the Accommodation Manager.

Main duties

  • Answer telephone calls, emails and face‑to‑face enquiries from tenants, contractors and visitors.
  • Give advice and information regarding accommodation options, our booking application process and general accommodation support.
  • Provide administrative support for the UHD Residences team and Accommodation Manager.
  • Have full understanding of the reservations process – from applications, tenancy agreements and Right to Rent checks, accommodation costs, key packs to check‑in.
  • Assist with general enquiries received from customers; keep updated on current procedures.
  • Carry out accompanied viewings with potential residents.
  • Carry out estate inspections where required with maintenance and housekeeping teams.
  • Undertake any other tasks and duties reasonably requested, in line with the level of responsibility for the post and to meet the changing needs of the service.
  • Take debit/credit card and cash payments for accommodation charges and other services.

Person specification

Experience

  • Clerical duties and working in a busy administrative environment.
  • Prior cash handling and till operation.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Able to work as part of a busy team.
  • Able to demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy when undertaking repetitive tasks.
  • Experience of working in a hospital or on reception and/or dealing with customers from a range of backgrounds.

Personal attributes

  • Good customer care and confidence to respond to a range of different people and colleagues in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Able to work as part of a busy team.

Staff recruited are expected to be available to work flexibly across all Trust locations to meet service demands.
