Job Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Secretary to join our Operations team at Royal Derby Hospital. The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day administrative organization of the team to ensure a smooth and efficient delivery of services.

Main Duties of the Job:

  • Complete on-call rotas and set up bed meetings.
  • Support senior management with admin tasks.
  • Organize, attend, and minute meetings both internally and externally.
  • Manage email and telephone inquiries.
  • Maintain and order office supplies and equipment.
  • Handle highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

Requirements:

  • GCSE or equivalent in English and ability to demonstrate excellent verbal/written skills.
  • RSA III/OCR qualification or equivalent knowledge and skills.
  • Previous experience in an administrative role.
  • Experience of working in a supervisory capacity.
  • Further training in specific IT systems.

Communication and Relationship Skills:

  • Previous experience of team working.

Planning and Organisational Skills:

  • Evidence of working on own initiative and ability to prioritize workload.
  • Evidence of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
