Bolton NHS Foundation Trust Occupational Health Department have a vacancy for an Occupational Health Nurse (Band 5). You will play a vital role within the department as it strives to provide high quality services to the Trust and our external clients.
Main duties of the job
Reporting to Occupational Health Manager, you will be part of a multi disciplinary Occupational Health team. You will communicate and work collaboratively with OH Advisers, OH Nurses, Mental Wellbeing Practitioners, HR professionals and liaise with key stakeholders and external agencies as required in support of a proactive and timely approach.
The Role
- Provide comprehensive, confidential advice to managers, HR and employees and make recommendations on fitness for work/task on pre placement assessments
- To carry and manage a caseload dealing.
- To undertake occupational screening / health surveillance and provide the relevant analysis in accordance with health and safety legislation and interpret results and advise accordingly.
- Provide support with vaccination / immunisation delivery and management, including seasonal flu campaigns.
- To refer on for advice and diagnosis from a senior OH clinician if required.
- Applicants must be available to work between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, as required by the role.
Be willing to learn or have experience of the following requirements
- Registered General Nurse Part 1 NMC.
- Knowledge of vaccination / immunisation requirements.
- Experience of pre placement assessments.
- Proficient in producing clear, legible, concise and accurate case notes, letters and reports on OH issues, ensuring compliance with confidentiality, professional standards and data protection legislation.
