We are looking for enthusiastic, highly motivated applicants, who are able to demonstrate they have the necessary qualities to be caring, compassionate, and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to work autonomously and within a team.
Main duties of the job
As a senior scheduler you will be expected to provide a service of the highest quality to the directorate, surgical specialities and, most importantly, patients by way of delivering a wide ranging catalogue of essential administrative duties. The role of a senior scheduler is one of great responsibility; challenging and intensive but, ultimately, offering a great degree of job satisfaction with the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and skills in the world of elective surgical scheduling. You will be given a full programme of training to equip you for the best possible start in the role; regular appraisals; health and wellbeing support; and be part of a friendly, hard-working team. An excellent telephone manner is essential, along with a great degree of intelligence, tact, patience and empathy in order to deal with oftentimes delicate situations with families, challenging conversations with surgeons and meeting with Operational Managers and other members of clinical teams.
Qualifications
- GCSE Grade C or Above in Maths and English, or equivalent
- Educated to A-Level Standard or equivalent
- Qualification in ICT/IT
- Prince II

- Experience of working towards KPI's
- Ability to work effectively and maintain high standards of accuracy under pressure and to deadlines
