Band 3 Healthcare Assistant (Gynaecology Outpatients – Sonning Ward)
We are looking for healthcare assistant who is interested in women’s health and who is committed to delivering compassionate, high quality care.
We work Monday to Friday and we run satellite clinics at West Berkshire Community Hospital in Thatcham and also Bracknell Healthspace.
You will work alongside a compassionate and expert team, supporting women through stages of their gynaecology journey.
We will provide competency training for all clinics, a mentor and buddy. You will gain experience across a variety of specialist clinics.

You should be enthusiastic, empathetic and flexible and adaptable healthcare assistant to join our dynamic busy Gynaecology outpatient team.
You will also need to be hard working, with a compassionate and caring personality, enjoy working with people and want to make a difference to our patients\’ journeys with us.
Main duties of the job
Our department offers a wide range of services and assessments for individuals with concerns related to gynaecology. These clinics are for patients who do not require an overnight stay in hospital.
We are looking for candidates with a desire to provide compassionate support and care, good communication skills, a flexible approach and enthusiasm to work within the team.
The Gynaecological Unit is a busy and rewarding working environment.
A caring nature, good communication skills and a willingness to learn and develop are essential.

Qualifications
- Successful completion of Trust’s Band 2 Developmental Passport or ability to demonstrate equivalent level of competence.
- NVQ / QCF level 3 in Health or Health and Social Care.
Experience
- Experience as Healthcare Assistant within an acute hospital environment or equivalent setting.
- Previous experience of working within relevant specialty.
