London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust (LNWH) offers this Consultant position in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. The role is based in Harrow and serves the community at Northwick Park, St. Mark’s, Ealing and Central Middlesex hospitals.
We are seeking to appoint a Consultant in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology with an interest in maternal medicine, diabetes and obstetric scanning. The post involves 10 programmed sessions per week, including on‑call duties.
Main duties of the job
- Provide general gynaecology within the Gynaecology Direct Referral Unit as required.
- Cover high‑risk labour ward duties, clinics and theatres, delivering up to 4,700 births per annum.
- Operate lists at both Ealing and Northwick Park sites, with most gynaecology operating lists at Ealing.
- Assist GP urgent referrals and emergency cases within the dedicated gynaecology environment.
- Provide CPD, participate in research and contribute to the Trust’s R&D programmes.

Education & Qualifications
- MRCOG or equivalent CCT/CESR or within 6 months of obtaining
- BSCCP Full GMC registered Medical Practitioner
- Additional qualifications (MD, PhD, MRCS, etc.)
- Specialist qualifications in gynaecology oncology or other relevant ATSM modules
Knowledge & Experience
- Competence in training specialist registrars
- Knowledge of national maternity service guidelines
- Experience teaching undergraduates, postgraduates and junior staff
- Evidence of audit preparation and presentation
- Interest in research and critical appraisal
- Knowledge of SBL care bundle
- Organisational and project‑management experience
