Job overview: Exciting opportunities have arisen within the Access to Health Records team. These 2 roles will be based at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Folkestone. Our team focuses on service delivery and patient care, and we are looking for individuals who are self‑motivated with a genuine desire to deliver gold‑standard care at every level. The successful applicant will join a highly motivated and effective team that prioritises patient care. Access to Health Records team operating hours: 08:30am to 16:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Main duties of the job:

  • Support one or more teams (Medical or non‑Medical staff).
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to strict confidence when dealing with patients, staff and other health service business.
  • Carry out all Access to Records duties, ensuring compliance with departmental targets, the Health Records Operational Policy, the Data Protection Act, and the Access to Health Records Act 1990.
  • Handle internal and external telephone enquiries.
  • Use keyboard and data‑input skills, moderate use of display screen equipment and manual handling of healthcare records.

Qualifications and training:
  • Basic numeracy and literacy.
  • Has gained or is willing to work towards NVQ2.
