About East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust We are a leading provider of safe, compassionate, high‑quality hospital and community care in East Sussex. Our Trust runs two acute hospitals, three community hospitals, over 100 community sites, and provides 24‑hour radiological services to the region.
This role is for a Clinical Diagnostic Radiographer within our Radiology Department. The successful applicant will rotate through all radiographic modalities, participate in training, and support student radiographers while providing a 24‑hour radiographic service.
Main duties- Rotate through general radiography, cardiac and interventional radiography, and CT scanning.
- Provide on‑call or shift rotation coverage for 24‑hour service.
- Mentor and train student radiographers.
- Participate fully in CPD training and internal specialty training.
- Maintain professional standards and quality assurance.
- Staff development and training.
- Enrolment in the NHS pension scheme.
- Access to onsite nurseries, staff restaurants, and accommodation.
- Free psychological support via Employee Assistance Programme.
- Onsite parking (£50 per year).
- Radiographer / DCR or equivalent (Grade 2.2 or above).
- HPC registration (must be obtained prior to commencement).
- ECDL or equivalent IT qualification.
- Current clinical experience or newly qualified.
- Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Teamworking in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Prioritisation and organisation of own workload.
- Knowledge of radiation regulations.
- Good organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- UK Registration with the Health Professions Council as a Diagnostic Radiographer prior to start.
- Compliance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
- Disclosure to the Disclosure and Barring Service as required.
