Job overview

We are looking for a dedicated Registered Midwife to join our Community Midwifery Service. The role involves antenatal and postnatal care, homebirth support, and management of a GP caseload across Derbyshire and Staffordshire.

Main duties

• Antenatal and postnatal care for women with a wide caseload.
• Provision of a 24‑hour homebirth service including assessment, care planning, and surgical support.
• Planning and assessment of care in low risk settings including homebirth and waterbirth.
• Advocacy and safeguarding in vulnerable adult and child protection procedures.
• Collaboration with specialist midwives, consultant midwives and the wider multi‑professional team.

Qualifications & experience

• Registered Midwife with full UK driving licence.
• Broad experience in community maternity services.
• Experience in low risk settings including homebirth and waterbirth.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
