Job overview
The catering department at Midland Metropolitan University Hospital is looking to recruit a part time experienced Catering Assistant to work within our cold room at our new hospital, role involves working in a cold room working in temperatures of 2 degrees centigrade
Applicants must have previous catering experience with high standards of work, be an outgoing, hard-working and enthusiastic individual that is able to work on their own initiative.
Monday & Tuesday - 06.45am - 14.15pm
Applicants are required to be flexible in their approach to hours and duties and able to work additional shifts as and when required.
Candidates who have been shortlisted will be invited to an informal open day and if successful will then be invited to a formal interview.
Main duties of the job
To carry out a wide range of general catering duties in an efficient and effective manner to ensure that a high quality service is provided at all times. This post has a significant amount of personal contact with Staff, Patients and Members of the Public.
Duties include picking and packing cook chill food for patients, completing , associated general/deep cleaning duties and completion of control paperwork.
