The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

Responsible for effective and efficient preparation, maintenance and monitoring of a multi chair unit or Dental clinic. This may also include General Anaesthetics Theatres, Outreach Dental Units and Peripheral Hospital Dental Service. To ensure the best possible Dental Nursing Care and practice is delivered to patients including those with complex medical, physical and emotional needs within the framework of the Health Boards services. Provide teaching and support of dental nurse procedures to the Dental team as a whole.

Main Duties

  • An exciting opportunity has arisen for 4 part time Qualified GDC Registered Dental Nurse to join the team. These posts will be various hours available.
  • The successful candidate will also be required to support our Outreach Units and PHDS when required.
  • The successful candidate will be required to assist the Senior Dental Nurse in the day to day co-ordination of a multi-chair dental clinic, whilst also assisting dental staff, dental undergraduates, postgraduates and DCPs, in the provision of dental treatment of patients.
  • You will also be expected to assist in clinical teaching and supervision of trainee dental nurses on placement and demonstrate a willingness to develop within the dental nurse profession.

Excellent communication and organisational skills are required, along with a flexible approach to work. The post is subject to a successful DBS and Occupational Health Screening.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A recognised Trained Dental Nurse Qualification, GDC Registered
  • Experience in multi chair clinical work preferred
  • Experience in teaching or supervising trainees advantageous

Eligibility

  • The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
  • Applicants must hold valid GDC registration and be eligible to work in the UK.
  • If required, sponsorship may be considered for qualified overseas candidates.
