We are delighted to be supporting a first-time family in Stoke Newington, London, as they prepare to welcome their baby by planned C-section at the end of February 2026. The family is seeking an experienced and professional maternity nurse to provide overnight support (7pm-7am), beginning in early to mid-March 2026.
This is a wonderful opportunity to offer expert guidance and care, helping new parents adjust with confidence as they embark on the early stages of parenthood.
About the Role
The family is looking for a calm, supportive, and knowledgeable maternity nurse who can provide specialist overnight care while offering reassurance and practical advice to first-time parents.
- Supporting with feeding, whether breast or bottle, and assisting with expressing and sterilisation.
- Providing full newborn night care, including settling, nappy changes, and sleep support.
- Helping establish gentle, age-appropriate routines to encourage restful nights.
- Offering reassurance, guidance, and tailored advice to help the parents feel confident and supported.
- Creating a calm, nurturing overnight environment for both baby and parents.
A private bedroom with baby will be provided for the maternity nurse to ensure rest during the night.
Schedule & Duration
- Start Date: early to mid-March 2026
- Hours: 7pm-7am, nights only
- Frequency: 3-5 nights per week
- Duration: Initial 6 weeks, with flexibility to extend if required
- Location: Stoke Newington, London (N16) must be able to reliably commute.
- Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience and qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Enhanced DBS check (on the update service) assistance available via the agency
- In-date Paediatric First Aid certificate
- Excellent references from previous private maternity roles
- Proven experience as a maternity nurse working with newborns for at least 5 years
- Relevant qualification or training (e.g. NEST Level 3+, MNT Level 3+, BabyEm, HATA, Midwifery, or similar)
